"The Manifest"
Stones and concrete were spilled on a substrate. This was a problem. One could assume the reasonable course of action would be to clean up the mess and move on to more pressing activities. But who would know the mess existed if it wasn't recorded? Shapes were traced along each gathering to show some semblance of order, and to be sure order persisted, shapes were made over those shapes. This process of instituting order continued until the vast majority of debris was accounted for.
I was left with a grid of sorts that attempted to order the debris, but without the context of the debris; the grid appeared just as chaotic as the original mess itself. This is the core concept of the Anerisian Illusion, as defined by the Principia Discordia. Our concept of order is designed to make sense of the disorder present in our world. To find order, we place grids, boundaries, and borders to describe our interpretations of reality. The subjectivity of the grid we use is just a deeper level of pure chaos.
After the investigation, the substrate was electrocuted around a point determined to be the Origin of Chaos, denoted by a symbol some refer to as "The Erisian Symbol of Creation". The Map was then made more permanent by laser engraving the pathways. Voids left by the mess persisted, but left space that could be occupied by simulations of the original mess, but the chaos demanded geese.
A goose was sculpted from clay, and a mold allowed for a concrete replica to be made, photographed and engraved into the image.
To further complicate this process, the concrete goose was scanned and printed in polylactic acid. Using Lost-PLA processes, the form was converted to iron, and glass.
